Design exemplar

Sustainability Documentary:  

Opening:
(1 Minute)-          Show pictures of nice meadows, fields etc… then pollution, etc… with doomy music in background ( Captions telling what pictures are)
( 30 seconds)- After pictures end put captions about how the earth is not sustainable. (Excessive consumption, unnecessary production, vast quantities
of waste and scandalous disparities between rich and poor have
combined to put the future of both humankind and the planet in
question. There is ever-more statistical evidence that
this development path is unsustainable.)  
( 4 Minutes)- Interview with ABB head of sustainability( Make him look like a good person for helping sustainability.)        
Break up with pictures, video, music as appropriate     
-Why is sustainability important?
-How long has the Sustainability department been a part of ABB?
-How bad do you think the issue of sustainability has become world wide?
-How much do you think the sustainability department for ABB is helping?
-Is world wide sustainability feasible?

(45 seconds)-   video spot sustainability
(2 Minutes) -   Man in street Interviews: What is sustainability
Trash
(3 Minutes) Talking head with Mr.
1: Do you feel the school could be doing more to help with sustainability, especially recycling?
2; If so why haven't you taken these steps?
3: Do you think the school will do more in the future to help with sustainability?
4: What is the punishment for catching students blatantly disrespecting the recycling bin?
5: Who is in charged of recycling for the upper school?
6: Are you proud of the efforts made to help with recycling?
 (5 minutes)-          Go through teachers trash bin, and see how much recyclable material is in it. Then how much is in recycling bin. Give a prize to the most recyclable teacher.
(1 1/2 Minutes) – Hold camera by trash can during lunch, and see how much recyclable material is being thrown out.
(1 ½ minutes)- At the ends of lunch dump out the trash bin. And compare it with the recycling bin.
(2 minutes)- Interview students about what they think about the effects of sustainability (I suspect they will give answers such as "I don't care, its not in my lifetime". Then show video, and facts about how it will affect their lifetime.
(30 Seconds) Simpson's cartoon
(2 Minute)-          Use video montage and captions to talk about how Switzerland burns trash, and how harmful that is to the environment.
(45 Seconds)-          Show humorous video clip involving sustainability.
Conclusion:
(15 Seconds)- How do You Help Sustainability?
(3 Minutes)-          Talk to viewer about what they can do to help sustainability (such as recycle more, drive less etc…)

Games Unit Final Assessment

This Unit will finish with the planning and execution of a game which teaches or 'shows' us something.

The intent of the unit such as it stands is to develop the game within the confines of its platform restrictions and the time available.

Our focus must needs be on the processes inherent in MYP Technology. In the case of this unit we have focused on: Plan, Create, and Evaluate.

Be sure that as you edit your work before submission that you have considered it against the planning tool provided and the exemplars.

A single final post on your blog for each of the three sections with your notes and final reflections is required.
